Description
Photograph of an irrigation ditch and headgate, ca.1920. A pipe lies at the bottom of a trench with the headgate standing perpendicular to the pipe at center. The headgate is illustrated without the front portion of its outer piping to reveal the metal lever and smaller pipe inside. What appears to be a gauge hangs from the interior of the headgate with the number 163 printed on the image just next it.
