Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Beverly Hills Hotel, 1949. The large hotel can be seen in the background at center. Several large balconies can be seen on the top three stories of the building, and the name of the hotel is visible on the wall of the structure at center. A row of palm trees runs across the image from left or right, and several large cars are visible in a parking lot in front of the hotel. A wide paved road can be seen in the foreground and is bisected by a grassy median.

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
