Description
Photograph of the Kettleman Hills Oil Field in Bakersfield, ca.1930. A row of tall, shining cylinders stands on the left with what appear to be large tanks lying below them with pipes protruding from their sides. They stand on a platform on the left with staircases that climb down to the row of large, cylindrical tanks which lie on their sides on the right. Two tall, long buildings stand behind them at center with a tall, dark pipe on their right. A small wooden structure can be seen behind the pipe while grassy hills stand behind it in the background.
