Panoramic view of Avalon harbor from the pier, ca.1888. Avalon's first residence is at center, that of C.M. Loud, Berkeley and Avalon. About 25 rowboats are moored in harbor. A hotel is visible at left. Several other houses and tent houses line the shore. Brush dotted mountains rise in the background.
