Description
Photograph of a view of a train crossing a bridge over Canyon Diablo on a Navajo reservation in Arizona, ca.1900. The train is carrying at least nine cars, while at least six of them are boxcars carrying people. Metal beams with a criss-cross architecture support the bridge. At the bottom of the canyon, the metal beams are supported with cement (brick?) structures to hold them in place. The canyon is about seven-stories deep and very rocky. Wild brush can be seen sparsely scattered throughout the canyon.
