Description
Photograph of the exterior view of the F.S. Allen bungalow in Altadena, 1910. The house has two tower-like rooms that extend above the almost flat roof. The windows on the second floor of the towers have window wells where flowers can be seen dangling. The two towers flank the main rooftop where flowers are planted in containers. Pillars linked with chains intermittingly separate these containers. The roofs of the house and towers have extended eaves. The spacious porch has a pergola where vines can be seen wrapping itself around it. In front of the porch is a garden of plants and flower bushes. Parts of the walls of the building are partially covered in vines. The dirt road in the foreground splits into a y-intersection. Trees and thick bushes form a boundary on the right side of the dirt road. Large rocks form boundaries throughout the rest of the roads enclosing the lawn around the house and the lawn to the left of the road.
