Description
Photograph of a stage coach destined for the Nevada mine, California, ca.1905. Seven men in suits and hats gather on and around a stagecoach carriage led by six horses. The man at the extreme back of the covered carriage holds on to the luggage rack on top and splays his legs, a foot on each back wheel. A man in a porkpie hat is visible behind him. Next, two men sit in the driver's bench at the front of the carriage, holding the reigns, while a third sits behind them in the luggage rack. Two final men stand on the ground, looking at the camera.
