Description
Photograph of the exterior view of the Cameron residence in Altadena, on the east side of Santa Rosa Avenue north of Mariposa Street, ca.1910. The Mission Revival style building, which later became the headquarters of the Theosophical Society, is about two stories tall. Two dormer windows protrude from the inclined roof. The roof has Spanish-style tiles and extended eaves. To the right of the roof is a multi-curved parapet. At left is a Spanish-style gable facing the façade. The gable has a multicurved parapet and a balcony. A flight of stairs leads from the sidewalk to two other flights of stairs, which eventually leads to the arcade-like porch. Plants and flower bushes decorate the well-manicured lawn. Compares to CHS-5209.
