Description
Photograph of a view of Castelar Street looking north from the corner of Ord Street, showing the Spanish (Mexican?) Market, Los Angeles, ca.1900-1909. Two men in suits sit while one man stands behind them on the corner, beneath the wooden overhang of an adobe block building behind them. More commercial buildings are visible along the street, where a parked horse-drawn wagon is visible to the left. The buildings have chimneys. The street is unpaved. A tree stands in the right foreground.
