Description
Photographic portrait of Charles A. Cooke, [s.d.]. He can be seen from the waist up leaning towards the left. His right arm is draped over an object, possibly the back of a chair, while he looks straight ahead. He can be seen wearing a suit, bowtie, and round glasses. A square ring can be seen on his pinky finger on his right hand. He has a pocket square or kerchief in his left jacket pocket, while his gray hair is combed over to his right. Photoprint reads, "Please Credit Witzel Photo, Los Angeles".

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
