Description
Photograph of Angeles Temple, showing a few automobiles and people to right, [s.d.]. In the extreme foreground, a road can be seen extending at an angle into the background at left. At center, another road can be seen moving to the right. On the side of this road near three trees and a utility pole, three automobiles can be seen. Near the automobile on the far right, two individuals are visible. In the extreme background at center, the Angelus Temple can be seen. The building appears circular in design. Large archways surround the base of the building, and a large dome can be seen at the top of the structure. Near the front of the building, two small signs can be seen near the front of the building stating: "Angelus Temple, Aimee Semple McPherson Four Square Gospel". Behind the structure two radio towers are visible. In the extreme background to the right, another building can be seen.

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960
Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
