Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of the San Pedro Harbor, showing schooners loading lumber to railroad freighters, ca.1900. What appears to be a very long schooner with five masts can be seen at center, piles of lumber resting on flat cargo trucks on the railroad tracks beside it. A locamotive engine can be seen in the lower right foreground, while in the background the wharf extends out into a shipping district filled with storage and routing houses.
