Description
Photograph of the Memorial Day Review at the Santa Monica Soldiers' Home, ca.1905. There are two rows of aged soldiers, one on each side of the image. They are dressed in simple uniforms with forage caps on their heads. There is an officer standing between the ranks, and his more elaborate uniform includes a sword and sash. They are arranged in front of the dining hall, which is visible in the background, flanked by tall trees. There are many people on the steps of the dining hall, and the clock on the wall reads 6:55.
