Description
Photograph of medical staff members standing in front of the hospital at the Soldiers Home in Sawtelle, ca.1905. Four men and eight women are standing at left. The men are all wearing dark suits, while the women are wearing light-colored nurse's aprons. The hospital building is at center and is a three-story Victorian building with several covered porches and balconies. A tall, conical tower is at right. A large, flat lawn is in the foreground, and a wide palm tree casts a shadow across the grass from the right.
