Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Spring Street School on Broadway near Sixth Street in Los Angeles, ca.1890. The two-story wooden school building is at center. It is light colored with dark trim around its rectangular windows. It has a peaked roof, and several small chimneys or vents are sticking out. There is a large covered entryway at center flanked by cylindrical columns. A set of stairs leads to the main door. The school is surrounded by a wrought iron fence, and a wooden picket fence connects to it at left. A church, identified by its tall spire, is visible at right.
