Description
Photograph of Mount St. Mary's College swimming pool, [s.d.]. In the foreground at left, a small group of benches can be seen behind a low row of shurbs. Three people can be seen sitting at the benches and lounging. To the right, the swimming pool can be seen. The head of a girl can be seen at the center of the pool as she swims. Another girl can be seen climbing the ladder to exit the pool, while another girl sits on the towel at the poolside. A girl is visible walkiing along the small diving board, while another girl can be seen can be seen in the middle of a dive. In the background, a large fence surrounds the pool area. A roof of a building can be seen at left. Photoprint reads: "Victor Barnaba Photography, 409 Santa Monica Blvd., Santa Monica, Calif., Exbrook 4-2206".

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960
Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
