Description
Photograph of the Weaverville Coast Highway over a river, Trinity County, 1936. The narrow highway, lined with short white posts, bridges over the river between two rocky hillsides. The jagged river's banks are littered with boulders that lead to a forest of spruce trees that decorate the hillsides. The highway is barely visible on the left where the hillside is blanketed with shade, but leads to a bright scene on the right. The river was one of the richest mining locations in the state in the early mining days.
