Description
Photograph of the 8th street looking north-west, Los Angeles, CA, ca.1920. Multiple automobiles can be seen parked or driving on a paved road which runs from the foreground towards the background. A one-story building with "Fountain Service Restaurant Soda" painted on its wall is visible at left, while a twelve-story building can be seen behind it. The tall building has an outdoor fire escape and arches on the first story. Similar tall buildings are visible at right, while "Great Republic Life" can be seen on a vertical sign on one of the buildings. Pedestrians can be seen throughout.
