Description
Photograph of Pacific Electric railway car on Pasadena Avenue, ca.1907. At center, a large lightly-colored railway car is seen moving to the right. At the front of the car, three windows are span the center of car's face. Above the windows, a small sign reads: "U.S. Mail". A small bell is seen above this sign. Below the windows, the number "500" is visible, and it is also painted along the side of the car. Along the side below the front and rear entrances, a small set of stairs is seen attached to the car. Two doors--one opened and one closed--and a single window are also seen along the side of the car. Next to the window, the words "United States Railway Post Office" are seen. At the top of the car, a large metallic rod is seen extending to a wire above the car. In the background, utility poles are seen framing the edge of the road. To the right, a small building and various vegetation are seen.
