Description
Photograph of a view of Spring Street looking south from Sunset Boulevard, 1900. At center, a man climbs a pole that supports streetcar cables. Below him, a traffic light extends from the median between the two paved roads that extend into the distance. In the foreground, a third street crosses both of them. At right, automobiles are parked along a sidwalk at the foot of a tiered hill. At left, a billboard on a nearby highrise building reads "Annex. Headquarters. Soda Fountain. Accessories. [...]".
