Description
Photograph of Miller family residence near Brawley, ca.1910. In the extreme foreground, patches of vegetables can be seen. Small wooden signs are visible along each row of produce depicting the type of vegetable being grown. Along the ground from left to right, small melons or squash can be seen. In the background at right, two men sitting in a horse-drawn carriage are visible. At center, a man, two women, and two children can be seen. An additional man is visible lying in a bed to the right. Behind the family, two structures with thatched roofs can be seen. Beneath the structure to the left, a large tent made of canvas can be seen. The structure on the right appears to be a small building. Two small windows and a door can be seen along the frontal face of the structure.
