Description
Photograph of a painting depicting the old mission and priests' home of the Mission San Buenaventura, March 3, 1888. The tiered bell tower of the two-story adobe mission at center is most evident, hiding the rest of the building behind it. A second, smaller building stands to the right, most likely the priests' home. A short wall is pictured at front, demarcating the property line. Handwriting along the bottom of the image reads "Near Carmelo Ranch". The painting appears to be watercolor.
