Description
Photograph of a view of Santa Monica Boulevard looking east from Pandora Avenue after widening and paving, September 14, 1937. The freshly paved road is at center and disappears over a hill in the distance. The light-colored lines on the street contrast sharply with the dark pavement. Several automobiles and trucks can be seen on the road. A railroad track runs parallel to the road at right, and a large empty lot is at left. Several large houses can be seen in the distance at left. Utility poles line both sides of the street. Compares to USC-0-1-1-721 taken before road improvement.
