Photograph of a birdseye view of Pershing Square and the surrounding buildings, [s.d.]. The tree-filled park can be seen in the foreground at left. Many people can be seen seated on benches along the paths in the park. Tall buildings can be seen on the streets that surround the park. A building at left is especially tall and has a tower on the right side. Several early-model automobiles can be seen on a street at right.; Legible signs include, from left: "Hotel Clark", "Hotel Portsmouth", "Agents for this property H.F. Metcalf Co. Realtor", "E.W. Reynolds Co. Wholesale Jewelers", and "Walker's".

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
