Description
Photograph of people unloading pears at the American Fruit Growers Incorporated packing house at Palmdale, in August 1929. A truck and horse-drawn cart full of boxes stands outside the packing house, and several people move the cart contents into the structure. The packing house is a long structure with wooden sliding doors, and stacked boxes peep from openings in the wood. Two people in hats sit atop the horse-drawn cart as the others unload the material.
