Description
Photograph of a view of Sixth Street looking west from Los Angeles Street in Los Angeles, ca.1918. Sixth Street is at left and heads away from the viewer while disappearing at center. There are two sets of streetcar tracks running down the middle of the road and two streetcars are visible in the distance. The roads are unpaved but are bordered by concrete sidewalks. There are tall buildings on both sides of Sixth Street, and the Pacific Electric building is at left. A small number of pedestrians is visible on the sidewalks, and several early-model automobiles are parked along the side of the road.; Legible signs include, from left to right, "Barber Shop Open", "This Shop will move", "Telegraph", "The Santa Rita", "Family Trade", and "Delicatessen".
