Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Leger Hotel in Mokelumne Hill, ca.1930. The view of the lightly-colored two-story building is obstructed on the left and right sides by trees in the foreground. The porch of each story is lined with short, lightly-colored fences and a small staircase leads to the shaded doorway at center on the first-story porch. An electrical pole stands on the right just outside a metal fence that is lined with boulders. On the left, the street is lines with parked automobiles.; Picture file card reads "The Leger Hotel was built in the 1890's. The original on the same site was discontinued as a hotel in 1878 and afterward used as a barn until replaced by the present structure".
