Description
Photograph of a covered bridge in Knight's Ferry, ca.1930. The white structure that shadows the bridge below is slightly out of focus. The bridge leads to a small opening at the structure's end and is lined by a wooden fence on either side. The view of the bridge to the left side overlooks several homes as well as many trees.; Photo file card reads "Covered bridge built in 1882 over Stanilaus river -- at the side of the ferry which was begun by William Knight in 1849. This was the road from Stockton to the gold country".
