Description
Photograph of an exterior view of a mansion in Jacksonville, ca.1930. The large, lightly-colored mansion has two stories that are walled by horizontal wood paneling. Stairs lead from the ground of weeds and fallen trees to the main entrance on the front porch, which extends around to the adjacent side on the right. Many rectangular windows can be seen on both visible sides of the mansion. The side windows overlook the trees that surround the mansion while a brick chimney extends from the shingled roof.; Picture file card reads "This fine old mansion stands abandoned and almost wrecked on the Jackson-Counterville road. In front are traces of a garden with walks and a fountain. No one resides within miles -- no information could be obtained of its history or its owners".
