Description
Photograph of an exterior view of old buildings of the 1850's, Chinese Camp, ca.1930. The shingled roof of the Hedges & Burke store on the left shades the wooden porch that is slightly raised from the dusty road. While a short, white picket fence stands to the store's left along with tall trees, the old Post Office is situated on the store's right. The post office is at street level with a roof of rectangular paneling shading the entrance. The windows of the Post Office view a tree out front and the patch of grass that lies in a yard across the street. The yard can be viewed in the foreground, outlined by the road that contains the old buildings and another intersecting road.
