Description
Photograph of a primitive desert Indian meeting house, Imperial Valley, California, ca.1910. About twelve rough branch poles support the ruin of a lattice now partially covered with grass and cloth which, at one point, provided shade over several benches or seats (now in ruins) in the desolate flat sandy desert. At right, in the background, stands a billboard(?) or building in a sparse copse of small trees. A man stands near a 2-wheeled cart(?) and a pail in the center background.
