Description
Photograph of women with parasols in a flower decorated cart at La Fiesta de Los Angeles, ca.1900. A wagon covered in flowers that appear to be roses stands on a dirt road in the center while women in long, lightly colored dresses sit in four rows holding parasols and wearing mortar caps on their heads. A man holds the reins in the front while a young boy in a pinstriped suit sits in the back with an instrument in his lap. The backside of a darkly colored horse is visible to the left while a man rides a similar horse on the right. Two houses and a tree can be seen in the background.
