Description
Photograph of aerial view of deck of U.S.S. Missouri from crow's nest, 1908. On the upper right on deck, several passengers and sailors are seen crowded near the guardrails of the ship. Another group of sailors can be seen in the lower-right corner. To the right of the ship, a wide platform is seen extending to a small boat. In the background behind the boat, another small boat is seen near the ship. At center in the extreme foreground, a large cylindrical smokestack is visible. A small whistle is seen near the bottom of the smokestack and a metal rungs line its side. The top of the smokestack is semicircular and lined with several raised bars. In the background behind the smokestack, two additional smokestack towers are visible. To the left, a small section of the ship can be seen. Several sailors and passengers stand scattered on the deck. Additionally, a small boat can be seen hanging over the side of the ship.
