Description
Photograph of a float decorated with hearts in the Fiesta de Los Angeles parade, ca.1915. The float can be seen in the middle of a road at center and is headed to the foreground at left. Several large hearts can be seen on the sides of the float and are adorned with lace. People in long, light-colored gowns are visible on top of the float, while many spectators line the street in the background. Tall buildings are visible on the far side of the street.; Legible signs include, from left: "Select Beer", "Best Clothing in Los Angeles for Less Money", "Cohen, Misfit Clothing Tailor Made Suits $4.00 to $10.00", "Ireland", and "Drugs".

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
