Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the barn outbuildings used for sheep ranching at the Rancho Monseratta two miles up San Luis Rey Valley, 1870-1880. A crescent-shaped building with a dipping awning is shown at center, just behind a palm and several other trees. All sections of the roof incline towards the center, creating a funnel-like awning over the patio area. A hill is visible in the background, while the ground in front is arid and flat.
