Description
Photograph of a man pouring gasoline into an automobile, [s.d.]. The man can be seen standing on part of the automobile, pouring gasoline from a glass decanter into a funnel connected to a tank on the automobile. The man can be seen wearing dark pants, a white shirt, and a patterned tie. A tire cover on the spare tire attached to the side of the automobile bears a nautical themed logo, and the phrase, "Marine the gasoline supreme", can be read on the tire cover.

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
