Photograph of Christmas decorations on Hollywood Blvd., showing the face of a movie star in a metallic wreath, [s.d.]. In the foreground at center, a metallic pole with a cylindrical base can be seen beside the curb of Hollywood Blvd. At the center of the pole hangs a metallic wreath with what appears to be the picture of a movie star at its center. A picture of a Christmas tree with stars sits above the wreath. On the base, a picture of a ribbon has been painted below the words "Santa Claus Lane." Behind the pole at center, a small palm tree is visible. Four other decorative poles can be seen across the street near a line of parked automobiles.

Title California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960

Description The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
