Description
Photograph of a replica of the battleship "Old Ironsides" in the Los Angeles Harbor, ca.1926. The large, three-masted battleship -- constructed by Paramount Studios for the motion pictured "Old Ironsides" and shown at Santa Catalina Island -- is shown just left of center, angling its way to the right, drawn by a wire attached to its bow. A single man can be seen on the port deck. In the background, a more modern battleship can be seen, possibly an aircraft carrier.
