Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of Sonora Town, the first plaza area in Los Angeles, ca.1870. There are several blocks of adobe houses fenced in with low adobe fences and divided by wide dirt roads. The town is bordered on the upper left side by a forested area, and in the upper right corner is a tall, gently sloped mountain. The numer 81 has been scratched onto the image in the middle of a street towards the bottom.
