Description
Photograph of Southern Californian veterans of the Spanish-American War on parade in San Francisco, ca.1898. Ranks of men are pictured marching down the street in the foreground, their rifles slung over their shoulders with lightly-colored flags flying from them. In the background, two clapboard-sided Victorian-style homes can be seen with spectators on the sidewalk in front of them, while more buildings can be seen in the left distance. An American flag blurs in the lower lefthand corner of the image. Compares to CHS-12607 which shows the same parade at a different angle.
