Description
Photograph of a view of Mission Santa Barbara and surrounding grounds from a distant hill to the north, ca.1898. A square pool is fenced off right of center, beside a small outhouse. In the background, at left, the church structure appears, bearing two tall towers. Several other structures can be seen at right, and the hillside looms in the distance. The foreground is composed of tall grass atop a bluff, while a thin road winds from right towards the center.
