Description
Photograph of a replica of the battleship "Old Ironsides", made for the Paramount motion picture of the same name, ca.1926. The long sailing vessel is pictured on a body of water at center, the turrets for its cannons fully visible in the side of the hull. Three masts grace the deck of the ship, trailing complex networks of cables downward, but have their sails stowed. The background which fills the rest of the image is misty and indistinct.
