Description
Photograph of Broadway, south from Seventh Street, during fiesta week, November, 1931. Numerous banners can be seen hung by cables in the air above the street. The most prominent banner, in the center, reads, "La Fiesta de Los Angeles, 1781-1931". United States, California State, and Mexican flags can be seen side by side, hanging from street lights that line both sides of Broadway. Note: lower right corner of negative appears to be fire damaged.; Legible signs read: "There's always a better show at Loew's-State", "The Owl Drug Co.", "Painless dentist", and "Loew's State".
