Description
Photograph of a drawing of a full-rigged sailing ship, ca.1900. The ship is shown in profile and bears three main masts, each of which supports seven sails. One large, tripartite sail is located at its stern, while four triangular subsidiary, non-masted sails are arranged by ropes at its bow. A collection of three, triangular non-masted sails are also arranged between each of the masts. The British and several other flags are flown from a line at the stern. The silhouettes of other sail ships can be seen on the horizon to the right.
