Description
Photograph of birdseye view of Hollywood Boulevard, showing posts with metallic wreaths and pictures, [s.d.]. In the foreground at left, Hollywood Blvd. can be seen extending into the background at right. Several cars can be seen moving on the street in both directions as well as parked along the curbs of both sides of the street. Metallic rail tracks can also be seen along the center of the street and arcing across the foreground at center. Also in the foreground, two women cross the street at left while another woman crosses the street at center. At the corner of the curb, two men are visible standing beside a small pole with a metallic wreath. Above the wreath, a painted Christmas tree with two stars can be seen. At the center of the wreath, a picture of what appears to be a movie star is visible. Several wreaths can be seen along the sides of the street. Visible signs include, "Coco Tree Cafe", "Raphael Glass Co.", and "Hollywood Citizen."

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
