Description
Photograph of Birdseye view of Hollywood Boulevard, showing street cars and metallic wreaths with pictures, [s.d.]. In the foreground at center, Hollywood Blvd. can be seen extending into the far background at right. Several automobiles move along the street, and a single trolley also moves along the center of the street near the foreground. Lines of cars can be seen parked along the curb near large buildings extending into the far background as well. In the foreground at right, a small group of people can be seen standing near a traffic light and small pole with a metallic wreath. Above the metallic wreath, a painting of a Christmas tree with two stars can be seen. At the center of the wreath, a picture of what appears to be a movie star is visible. Several wreaths can be seen on either side of the street extending into the far background. Legible signs include, "Robertson Company", "Cafe Boulevard", and "Myer Siegel & Co."

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
