Description
Photograph of a parade in Phoenix, Arizona, looking west on Washington Street, ca.1895. A wide dirt road runs from the background at left into the foreground at right. Streetcar tracks can be seen running down the middle of the street. Rows of Indians on horseback ride down the street, as crowds gather on both sides to watch. At right, the Bernard Heyman Furniture store stands behind the crowd along with other shops and houses, while lines strung with flags hang overhead.
