Description
Photograph of a large stack of salt being piled at a salt mine, California, ca.1910. A wood latticework stretches out from the mine's main building and plants two of its main supports into the salt stack gathering below it. A conveyor belt on top of the frame appears to be adding salt to the pile. Small low-growing vegetation surrounds the desert land around it. Mountains are visible in the distance.
