Description
Photograph of an irrigation ditch in the Imperial Valley (or Covina?), ca.1910-1920. The narrow sluice can be seen bisecting the image through the center foreground into the distance. Three to four years of growth of closely planted Eucalyptus and Cypress trees line both sides of the ditch as a wind break.
