Description
Photograph of a mule-drawn double wagon loaded with grain and bailed hay, ca.1901. The wagon train runs the width of the image, standing closest in the foreground to the right and farthest as it recedes towards the horizon at the left, where the ten-mule team can be seen pulling the loads of feedstuffs. The hay is piled directly on the platform of each flat cart, baled into rectangular blocks. The grain is in sacks, stacked on top of the hay. Barrels can be seen secured to the sides of the carts as well.
